We always remember Clueless for its hilarious quotes and awesome fashion, but what about the music? Clueless has many great ’90s classics, whether you’re in the mood for funky, upbeat tunes, or college crybaby music. But which song is your anthem? Take our quiz below and find out!
Now do you remember some of these classics? If you’re loving the nostalgia, then you’re in luck because Clueless: The Musical is currently in development! Amy Heckerling, director of the Clueless film, has written the book of the musical adaptation, and revealed to Entertainment Tonight that it is to be a jukebox musical. Despite earlier reports that Heckerling had been writing lyrics of her own, it seems the Broadway show will now feature previously released songs instead of original ones. We can only hope that many of the songs will be those from the film!
Kristin Hanggi, whose work includes Rock of Ages, will direct Clueless: The Musical, and the production group behind it is Dodger Theatricals, who also produced the original Into the Woods, Footloose, and the 1995 revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, starring Matthew Broderick.
Don’t go buying your plane tickets yet, though. It’s still in its early stages, so no release date has been set, nor have casting decisions been made. Katy Perry has expressed interest in playing Cher, much to Heckerling’s delight, but there has been nothing official.
