A sneak peek of Clark Gregg’s upcoming appearance on Lip Sync Battle proves that his opponent Hayley Atwell has her work cut out for her.

The clip of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star’s performance may be brief, but it is blisteringly memorable. Clad in a hilariously tarty flight attendant-inspired costume, Gregg prances around the stage mouthing the sultry words to Britney Spears’ anthem “Toxic.”

It really must be seen to be believed.

Wriggling, jiggling, and posing with his dancers, Gregg seems to have impressed even his long-time lip-sync nemesis, Hayley Atwell. Atwell (who, of course, stars as Peggy Carter in Agent Carter) will perform opposite Gregg in Thursday night’s episode.

Neither Clark Gregg nor Hayley Atwell are strangers to the art of abandoning their characters’ besuited dignity when a lip-sync contest is on the line. Along with the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Atwell’s costar James D’Arcy, the two actors waged a pitched Dubsmash War at last summer’s San Diego Comic-Con. The contest was reprised in for charity in the fall, with Atwell and Team Carter narrowly sneaking by with the victory.

Still, for all of their collective insanity, even Clark Gregg seems just a tiny bit impressed with his own choreographed audacity.

Proving that I will do literally anything if I am offered back up dancers. @spikelsb
