A new promotional still from this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special has leaked onto popular blogging site Tumblr today, and we have our first look at Clara in her winter gear.
The still leaked online today from an unknown source, and Tumblr users may have already seen this surprise on their dashboard. In case you aren’t on the popular social network here’s our first glimpse at the Doctor and his new companion.

The Doctor is wearing his new look that we reported on earlier, and he’s looking quite dashing! Meanwhile, this is the first time we got to see Clara in a Christmas special promotional still and she’s not donning that red bag we’ve previously seen. Interesting!
We first met Clara in the premiere of series 7, with a surprising twist, and we’re very interested to see how they’ll cross paths again. The synopsis of the Christmas special doesn’t reveal much about it, other than the fact we’ll see the Silurians again:
Following the epic mid-season finale, the Doctor gets in the holiday spirit in the all-new Christmas special written by lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat (Sherlock). Accompanied by his newest companion, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman, the Doctor’s latest adventure through space and time sees him once again crossing paths with the homo-reptilian Silurian Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh) and her cohort Jenny (Catrin Stewart). The Doctor Who Christmas Special premieres December 25, 9:00pm ET.
