The first expansion pack for Civilization V has been given a launch date…and it’s not that far away!

Creator 2K Games has annouced that Civilization V: Gods and Kings will be released on June 19th in North America and internationally on June 22nd.

Gods and Kings will see the return of espionage and religion: two features that were present in Civ IV and were missed greatly in the initial release of Civ V.

The combat system has been adjusted; new scenarios, units, civilizations and buildings will also be featured. The nine, new, playable civilizations include the Mayans, people of the Netherlands, the Carthiginians and the Celts.

What did you think of the base game? Are you looking forward to the extra features that Gods and Kings will bring to Civ 5?
