Looks like Bond 25 could find 007 coming face to face yet again with one of his most infamous foes.

According to Deadline, actor Christoph Waltz has signed onto appear in the next James Bond film, titled Bond 25.

Waltz will be reprising the role of Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the next installment of the hit franchise.

The Academy Award winner first portrayed the notorious master mind behind SPECTRE in the 2015, aptly titled after the criminal organization in question.

However, as Bond aficionados know all too well, Blofeld and 007 have a sordid history. In fact, the villain’s first appearance in the film franchise dates back to 1963’s From Russia With Love.

Waltz isn’t the only Bond vet returning for the 25th installment of the hit spy franchise. Daniel Craig is of course returning to reprise the role of 007 himself in Bond 25.

In addition, actors Jeffrey Wright, Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, and Ben Whishaw have all signed on to return as well. They’ll be reprising the roles of M, Madeline Swann, Eve Moneypenny, Tanner, and Q, respectively.

Other actors who have also boarded the project over the past few months include Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen, David Dencik, and Dali Benssalah.

Currently, many details regarding new characters set to be introduced in Bond 24 are being kept tightly under wraps. That being said, we do know a bit about what the plot of the film will entail.

The 25th film will find Bond having left active service only to be pulled out of retirement after his old pal Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. That’ll lead Bond to suit back up and head off in pursuit of a new villain armed with dangerous technology.

Bond 25 hits theaters on April 8, 2020.
