Mad Men alumn Christina Hendricks is heading back to television!

TV Line reports that actress Christina Hendricks has officially signed on to star in NBC’s upcoming drama, Good Girls.

The actress, best known for playing Joan Harris on Mad Men, is set to replace Episodes star Kathleen Rose Perkins, who left the project just after NBC ordered it to series.

The series, which also stars Parks & Recreation alumn Retta, and Parenthood actress Mae Whitman, is being described as a mixture of Thelma & Louise and Breaking Bad.

Set to premiere mid-series, the upcoming drama tells the storm of three suburban moms who decide to work together to rob a supermarket with a toy gun.

For her part, Hendricks will play Whitman’s sister, Beth, on the upcoming drama. Though Beth is described as the leader of the pack, it definitely sounds like she’ll be assuming that role by necessity.

According to TV Line, as the series progresses, audiences will watch as Beth “struggles with guilt and fear in the aftermath of the robbery.” Eventually, this will find the character tapping into a side of her that transforms her into a “powerful force to be reckoned with.”

Given the stellar cast involved, and the fact that the series is being created by former Scandal executive producer, Jenna Bans, we’re thinking we’ll definitely be tuning in when the pilot hits NBC next year!
