Christina Aguilera has given fans a taste of four new songs from her upcoming fifth English-language album, Lotus, including her duets with Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton.

The 31-year-old powerhouse and coach on The Voice held a listening party for music execs and TV bookers in Los Angeles back in October and video from the event is now hitting the web, revealing four new songs (five if you count “Blank Page,” which Xtina debuted over the weekend). She released the album’s lead single, “Your Body,” in September.

“Just A Fool,” her beautiful duet with CMA Entertainer of the Year Blake Shelton, is the most surprising collaboration on the album. But it’s by far the stand-out of the songs released so far. Like Kelly Clarkson’s collab with Vince Gill on “Don’t Rush,” this country-pop meld really works. It wasn’t without effort, though. Blake joked about the difficulty of the song telling Xtina he “had to put a clothespin on [his] nutsack just to hit some of these notes.”

In the funky “Make The World Move,” Xtina collabs with Cee Lo, though he really deserves a bigger part in the upbeat song. His unique voice is underused.

The other two new songs Xtina unveiled were “Let there Be Love” – her second song with hit maker Max Martin (the first being “Your Body”) – and “Army of Me” – a “Fighter 2.0,” as Christina put it, referring to her feisty single from Stripped.

As Aguilera told the crowd, she has fully embraced her pop star status, and it shows in the new album. As we’ve come to expect from the former Mouseketeer, Lotus includes her stripped down ballads, upbeat dance-y tracks and fist pumping girl power songs.

Lotus is due Nov. 13. Find out what other albums are out this month – including new music from Alicia Keys, Rihanna and One Direction – in Hypable’s November 2012 Album Preview.
