Parks and Rec’s series wrap party had something very few others do: a heartwarming tribute to Lil’ Sebastian from Chris Pratt

Handsome devil/all-around lovable goof Chris Pratt has had a big 2014. From his turn as Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy to his turn as some guy in the Jurassic World trailer, Pratt has dominated headlines. But his touching tribute to Pawnee’s lil’est horse at the Parks and Rec series wrap party may be his finest work yet.

This just makes us even more sad that Parks and Rec has to end, but if it does at least the cast and crew had a pretty awesome looking wrap party. They even got to see Nick Offerman on guitar!

Andy Dwyer’s famous ode to Lil’ Sebastian, Pawnee’s beloved tiny horse, was created for the Lil’ ones tragic horse-y funeral. Leslie told Andy that the song had to be like “Candle in the Wind” but 5,000 times better. Thus “5,000 Candles in the Wind” was born.

It was a big hit at the Harvest Festival in season 3 and an even bigger hit at the Unity Festival at the conclusion of season 6.

If Pratt’s heartfelt rendition of “5,000 Candles in the Wind” is any indication of the cast and crew’s passion for the show, Parks and Rec season 7 is going to be more emotional than a tiny horse funeral.

Parks and Rec season 7, the final season of the show, debuts on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 but will take place in the distant future of 2017.
