Chris Pratt may be part of two of the biggest film franchises, but that isn’t stopping him from planning a return to TV with Antoine Fuqua’s The Terminal List

Before he bulked up and stepped into the leading role in both The Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic Park film franchises, Chris Pratt played the ‘fine but simple’ goof Andy Dwyer for seven seasons on the beloved Greg Daniels and Mike Schur workplace comedy Parks and Rec and starred in all four seasons of Greg Berlanti’s Everwood before that.

However, since making the leap from the small screen to the silver screen, Chris Pratt hasn’t had much time for his television roots — until now.

Pratt is reportedly eyeing a return to television with The Terminal List, a TV series based on Jack Carr’s bestselling novel of the same name, with Antoine Fuqua, best known for The Training Day and The Equalizer, set to direct and develop.

The Terminal List is a conspiracy thriller that would follow Reece, here played by Chris Pratt, after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. After Reece returns home, he must deal with his conflicting memories of the event and question his own culpability. As new evidence comes to light, he discovers that there are dark forces working against him.

Pratt initially obtained the rights to the book and brought it to Antoine Fuqua, with whom he worked previously on The Magnificent Seven. The series is currently in development with Pratt set to star and executive produce, along with Fuqua, who will direct the pilot and is likewise an executive producer.

Though there is no network currently attached to the project, THR reported that The Terminal List is being billed as a multiple-season scripted drama rather than closed-ended limited series and will be shopped to prestige outlets like FX and premium cable networks, along with streaming services.
