Chris Pine and Patty Jenkins recently partnered on a limited run TBS series, I Am the Night, and we’ve got a look at the first trailer.

While actor Chris Pine and director Patty Jenkins have most famously worked together on the megasmash film Wonder Woman (and the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel), the two have joined forces once again in a new limited run suspense series for TBS called I Am the Night. The noir series is based on true events and looks like it will be a chilling show that we can’t help but watch. The first trailer has been released, and it’ll definitely get you hooked on the show.

I Am the Night tells the story of a young woman named Fauna Hodel (India Eisley) who learns she was adopted. When she leaves home in an attempt to learn who her birth parents are, she follows a trail that leads her straight to Dr. George Hodel, a key suspect in the infamous Black Dahlia murder.

Fauna partners with a soldier-turned-paparazzo, Jay Singletary (Pine), and the two work together to unravel Fauna’s history. Their journey to find the truth takes them through some of the darkest, seediest corners of Hollywood, revealing a whole dark underbelly to Fauna’s past and Hollywood as a whole.

This limited-run series on TBS looks like it’s going to be absolutely suspense-filled, and with great actors like Chris Pine and an expert director like Patty Jenkins, there’s no doubt this will be a captivating series. Plus, being that the series is based on true events, it adds an even deeper layer of intrigue and suspense to the show. I Am the Night will premiere on TBS in January of 2019, so get your DVRs ready!
