Thor: The Dark World was being filmed in London today and some high-res images have been released of Chris Hemsworth in full garb, wielding his mighty hammer.

From what we’ve seen from the leaked set videos from Thor: The Dark World, we know that more war will be occurring in the Thor sequel, and the casting of Christopher Eccelston as Malekith the Accursed confirms that Dark Elves will play an integral role. In some low quality leaked videos today we see what appear to be Dark Elves in full-length cloaks, standing in a circle around Thor. There aren’t many action shots in the images released, but we know that he did do quite a bit of stunt work today on set, which was in the courtyard of a college in London.

The official synopsis was recently released and it explained what the Thor sequel will focus on:

Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Thor: The Dark World will continue filming for the next two weeks in Greenwich, London, England and we imagine we’ll be seeing even more photos of the Asgardian King as the shoot continues.
