The new Ghostbusters film has found its receptionist, and it’s none other than Thor actor Chris Hemsworth.

In some surprising casting news for the Ghostbusters remake, director Paul Feig has announced that actor Chris Hemsworth has been cast as the team’s receptionist. It sounds almost too good to be true, but it came from the director himself on Twitter.

We thought Hemsworth would be too busy with his obligations to Marvel as the god of thunder, or his Huntsman sequel, but it looks like he’ll be playing a male version of the character played by Annie Potts in the original Ghostbusters films.

Bridesmaids director Paul Feig is at the helm of the new Ghostbusters movie, which hopes to find a brand new audience after being such a major hit back in the ’80s.

The reboot had an amazing cast already, which includes Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon as the main Ghostbusters, with Cecily Strong being cast in a currently unknown role.

Filming will take place in Boston for the most part, but Paul Feig has promised that the film will stick to its roots, saying, “You can’t take the Ghostbusters out of New York. I had moments where I was thought, ‘Well we’re shooting in Boston, why not?’ But that just felt wrong to me. Some of the fans are mad at me about doing a reboot and even I would be mad at myself if I pulled it out of New York.”

Having Chris Hemsworth as the receptionist in Ghostbusters makes this movie even more exciting than it already was, and we imagine it can only get even more hilarious with the god of thunder sitting behind a desk answering calls about reported paranormal activity.

The Ghostbusters reboot release date has been set for July 22, 2016.
