Chris Evans is the latest big name to join the star studded cast of director Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up.

Director Adam McKay isn’t short on star power when it comes to building his cast for Don’t Look Up, but that doesn’t mean the project is slowing down when it comes to casting even more familiar names.

According to Deadline, actor Chris Evans is the latest big name to join the cast of the upcoming Netflix Original movie.

Chris Evans is but the latest notable name to sign on to appear in the film. He joins previously announced cast members Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, and Timothee Chalamet, all of whom were announced to be joining the cast back in October.

Others who’ve previously signed on to appear in the highly anticipated film include Himesh Patel, Matthew Perry, Tomer Sisley, and rapper Kid Cudi.

Directed, written, and produced by Adam McKay, Don’t Look Up is set to follow two low-level astronomers who set off on a media tour in an effort to warn mankind of a fast approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth.

The newly announced cast members join Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence, who’s been attached to star in the film for quite some time. Reportedly, Lawrence will play one of the two astronauts in question, with DiCaprio playing the other.

Cate Blanchett and Rob Morgan are also set to appear as part of the film’s star-studded cast.

Plot details and character details for the film are being kept firmly under wraps for now, meaning that we’ll have to sit tight and wait on more details with regards to who Chris Evans and the rest of the cast will be playing in the movie.

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect Don’t Look Up to debut via Netflix.
