Today, it was revealed that Chris Colfer has been approached to write an upcoming episode of Glee. Check out all the details we have so far.

TVLine has reported that Chris Colfer, who is famous for playing Kurt Hummel on Glee, will be writing the script for an upcoming episode of his hit show. It was creator Ryan Murphy himself, along with the other producers, who first went to Chris about penning the original episode.

While no details have been revealed yet, it is known that Colfer is currently throwing around ideas in the writer’s room and that the episode will first air later this season.

If anyone remembers, Colfer has a history with writing, as he wrote the screenplay for Struck By Lightning in 2012. The movie is currently streaming on Netflix for anyone who would like to see it if you have not already.

To get a better taste for Chris’s writing, here is the trailer for ‘Struck By Lightning’:

Based on the trailer, Colfer has no issues writing snappy, snarky dialogue, so he’ll definitely be able to write great material for the show.

Colfer is also the best-selling author of the children’s book trilogy Land of Stories, which is about how twins Connor and Alex find themselves in a fairy tale world and their quest to return home. The first book was on the New York Times Bestseller list for five weeks after it was released.

It is obvious that the cast of Glee has always been like a big family, but it’s still nice to see Ryan Murphy acting like a father-figure to the cast and pushing them to try new things. Maybe this will be the beginning of Colfer as a more frequent writer for the show.
