Chris Colfer has signed on to be a part of Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black’s upcoming play about Prop 8.

According to EW.com, the play, simply titled 8, is being produced by Dustin Lance Black in Los Angeles.

The benefit one-night-only event at California’s Wilshire Ebell Theatre on March 3, which has been organized by the American Foundation for Equal Rights and Broadway Impact, chronicles the landmark 2010 trial that led the Federal Court to deem Prop 8 — which denied gay and lesbians in California their rights to marry — unconstitutional. (Black based the show on court documents and his interviews with the plaintiffs from the trial.)

Actors Kevin Bacon and John C. Reilly have also joined the play.

Glee stars Matt Morrison, Jane Lynch and Blaine’s brother Matt Bomer will also be a part of the production.
