The first trailer for Cherry starring Tom Holland is here, and it’s bound to get you excited to check out the movie when it debuts!

Tom Holland’s next big screen role will find the Spider-Man: Homecoming star teaming up with fellow MCU vets, The Russo Brothers.

In Cherry, Holland plays a disenfranchised, unhinged young man from Ohio. Inspired by the best selling novel of the same name, the film follows the titular character as he meets the love of his life, Emily (Ciara Bravo), only to risk losing her through a series of bad decision and challenging life circumstances.

The trailer teases a slew of life experiences in store for the character including dropping out of college, to serving in Iraq as an Army medic.

Things take a bit of a turn when Cherry (Tom Holland) returns home. Though he comes back a war hero, it’s overshadowed by PTSD which culminates in drug addiction. Down on his luck and drained of his finances, Cherry finds himself turning to a life of crime as a bank robber in an effort fo fund his addiction.

Behind the camera, Avengers: Endgame vets Joe and Anthony Russo serve as directors on the gritty action drama. Meanwhile, the film features a script written by Angela Russo-Otstot and Jessica Goldberg.

Others who star opposite Holland and Bravado in the movie include, Jack Reynor, Michael Rispoli, Jeff Wahlberg, Forrest Goodluck, and Michael Gandolfini.

Cherry premieres in select theaters on February 26, and via Apple TV+ on March 12, 2021.
