One of our favorite, best-dancing, Hollywood couples, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum, have decided to split up. The announcement was made on Twitter last night.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum first met on the set of the 2005 film Step Up, and were married in 2009. However, last night on Twitter they both shared a statement explaining that they would no longer be together.

Of course, in the age of social media and tabloids, they made sure to nip any rumors of why the two split in the bud. The joint statement from the two explained that the separation was a mutual decision, and though they both still have love for one another and will continue to co-parent their daughter, Everly, they both needed to move on.

“We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.

There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly.”

It’s quite obvious from the statement (which was also posted on Dewan Tatum’s Twitter) that though the two have decided to move on, there is still a great deal of love between the two of them. We’re glad that the two of them have made the right choice for their happiness and the happiness of their family.
