It’s no surprise that one of the most clever pieces of marketing this year comes from the 22 Jump Street team.

The 22 Jump Street team has released a new viral video that you would never expect, and that’s what makes it so great. Spoofing the unbelievable Volvo commercial that stars Jean Claude Van Damme doing his famous splits between two 18-wheelers that are, of course, driving in reverse. Here’s the original commercial:

In the 22 Jump Street parody of the commercial, Jean Claude Van Damme is replaced by Channing Tatum’s Jenko who is probably, maybe, not likely at all to be just as limber as Van Damme. The two semis are replaced by food carts from the 22 Jump Street set. Take a look at the video, released on Tatum’s YouTube account:

Just as we expected, Jenko isn’t quite as limber.

With a 2014 release date set, 22 Jump Street production is in full swing. Filming is currently taking place, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a teaser trailer come fairly soon. It might be a bit delayed after the release of this video, but you certainly won’t find us complaining.

22 Jump Street will bring back many of the 21 Jump Street stars. Tatum and co-lead Jonah Hill will of course be returning as well as Ice Cube.

As the plot of the movie is bringing Tatum and Hill from working undercover at a high school to the new setting of a college, the film is going to introduce plenty of new characters. Joining the cast are Wyatt Russell, Jimmy Tatro, and Jillian Bell.

Here’s the official plot description:

“22 Jump Street” follows officers Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) as they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. In addition to cracking the case, the two freshmen must figure out if they can have a mature relationship like real men.

‘22 Jump Street’ hits theaters June 13, 2014
