Alec Baldwin’s Emmy-winning parody of Donald Trump made his way back to SNL this week. On the cold open of this week’s episode, Trump had difficulty not making fun of the leaders of the Baltic States. Check out Baldwin’s always-hilarious parody below.
Chadwick Boseman opening monologue
Chadwick Boseman used his opening monologue to talk about his experience portraying Black Panther and being the first black super hero from Marvel. But he’s interrupted by Keenan Thompson portraying a Thundercat.
Black Jeopardy with Black Panther
Chadwick Boseman brought his character T’Challa to SNL this week. The Black Panther himself played a game of Black Jeopardy. In the sketch, T’Challa represents Wakanda and finds himself slowly understanding black culture in the United States. By the end of the sketch T’Challa has come around and figures out what life is like for black Americans.
Aidy B meets Cardi B
In another sketch of the night, Aidy Bryant talks about how much she loves Cardi B’s new album. Aidy talks about how she wants to be more like Cardi B when it comes to being assertive and bold in how she talks to people. Aidy kind of takes things overboard though.
Wakanda Forever
Though Chadwick Boseman was in the sketch surrounding white people using the “Wakanda Forever” salute, he didn’t play himself. Boseman chimed in about when and how white people and black people can use the salute, dropping facts and history for the audience.
Cardi B performs
Cardi B made her SNL debut this week as well, performing two songs from her recently released album. Check out her performances of “Bodak Yellow/Bartier Cardi Medley” and her second performance of “Be Careful” where she announced her long-rumored pregnancy.
