More details about Pottermore’s presence at Universal Orlando’s A Celebration of Harry Potter have been revealed and tease some new information from author J.K. Rowling.
In a press release sent out this morning by Pottermore we learn that the website’s panel at Universal’s three-day event will include “an exclusive audio clip from J.K. Rowling, in which she gives a mischievous and somewhat unexpected back-story to one of her most colourful Harry Potter characters.”
We presume this audio clip concerns a character in Goblet of Fire since that is the book in the middle of being released. Who do you think the character could be? The same panel will play host to the unveiling of artwork from upcoming chapters.
In addition to the panel, a booth open during Celebration will allow fans to use Pottermore.com themselves and watch an artist illustrate upcoming creatures.

On a related note, today’s press release says that Pottermore has teamed up with Virgin Atlantic for a trial partnership during which you can listen to Stephen Fry’s reading of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on the airline’s in-flight entertainment system.
The day before A Celebration of Harry Potter begins, Universal will host a webcast to reveal new details about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley expansion.
In July of last year Rowling unveiled lots of new details about Tonks and Lupin’s relationship on Pottermore which pleased fans of the couple.
