Netflix has announced that November 6 is Stranger Things Day, and while we don’t know what that means specifically, we’re excited!

Stranger Things has arguably been one of the biggest hits for Netflix. With two seasons under its belt, the show has become an international phenomenon that has all of us on the edge of our seats waiting for Stranger Things 3 to release.

Understandably, the streaming service has been incredibly tight-lipped about what we can expect in the third installment in the series, but they have announced that November 6, in addition to being Election Day, will also officially be Stranger Things Day. What does that mean? We’re not sure yet, but Netflix released this great video to get us excited for the new holiday.

Stranger Things Day coincides with the day that Will Byers first went missing in the Upside Down. The video shows clips from both Stranger Things and Stranger Things 2, there were lots of shots from fans recreating iconic moments from the show as well. So will Stranger Things Day be a day where we get some cool info on what’s to come in Stranger Things 3–even a release date would be welcomed info at this point–or will Netflix make this more of a fan-centric holiday?

Because Stranger Things 3 has already been filmed, it’s not totally outrageous to think that Netflix might drop some info on the new season. While announcing the release date is more likely what we’ll see on this special holiday, we can all hope for a teaser or trailer drop as well, right?

Though specific details from the day are still sparse, one thing is for sure: we’re excited to celebrate this amazing show. Whether Stranger Things Day means the announcement of a release date or just fun interviews with the cast and fans, we’re ready to head to Hawkins, Indiana, and party in the Upside Down.
