CBS has decided to give the half-hour Greg Garcia-scripted comedy Super Clyde a second try, but don’t expect the same beloved stars to return.

The original Super Clyde, developed in 2013, starred Rupert Grint as a young adult who comes into possession of a huge fortune. In the pilot, he decides to fulfill his dream of being a super hero by using the money to do good deeds for strangers. Each episode, in theory, was to feature “super hero” Clyde and his butler played by Stephen Fry helping someone out.

Though CBS did not pick up the pilot for a full season, major interest from Grint fans led the network to release the single episode online for a short amount of time.

The verdict? The episode was good, and it remains a mystery as to why CBS decided not to pick the show up for a full season (though Entertainment Weekly said at the time it was too “off-brand” for the network).

“I’m really proud of this show,” Garcia said in a statement when the pilot was released. “Mike Fresco did an amazing job directing and the cast is great.”

Now, almost two years later, CBS has decided to give Garcia another chance at the pilot, and as of right now, Grint and Fry are not involved. It’s a shame, because a large appeal of the show was the fact that two mega British stars like Grint and Fry were teaming up for a network comedy in the United States.

It remains to be seen what kind of improvements, if any, CBS and Garcia will make to improve Super Clyde. We’ll certainly be interested to see how much if differs from the original. One thing is for sure: It’ll lack that ginger and British charm we adored in the original.
