It’s here! The Hunger Games: Catching Fire theatrical trailer number one debuted during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. It was introduced by Liam Hemsworth, who plays Gale.

Though it was marketed as a teaser trailer, the 2 1/2 minutes of footage offers up a major preview. The Catching Fire trailer focuses on President Snow and Plutarch Heavensbee who are meeting to decide how to deal with Katniss’ rise. We also see a great scene where Katniss and Peeta are asking Haymitch for help.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens November 22, 2013. In the book by Suzanne Collins, Katniss and Peeta face the repercussions of gaming The Capitol’s Hunger Games system. President Snow is not pleased with the move they pulled off at the end of the 74th Hunger Games, and a rebellion is forming. Katniss and Peeta will join past victors in the Quarter Quell, which is the centerpiece of the storyline following the Victory Tour.

Catching Fire is the second of four films in Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games film franchise. Mockingjay, the third and final book in Collins’ series, is being split into two films for release in November 2014 and November 2015 respectively.

In the past few days, five gorgeous stills have been unveiled from the film. They offered looks at new gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman), President Snow (Donald Sutherland), Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), Primrose Everdeen (Willow Shields), and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth).
