An artist may have revealed he and his band are working on a song for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’s soundtrack.

We The Kings’ Travis Clark, their lead singer, tweeted the following to his nearly 200,000 followers yesterday:

This tweet could either mean that he is indeed working on a song for the Catching Fire soundtrack, or him and the band simply got bored and felt compelled to write a song.

The artist selection process for these soundtracks is one where many artists will submit original songs to the studio, and then the studio selects which they receive they are using. It’s no surprise that many artists will write songs in hopes to be included; promotion through a film like The Hunger Games would generate them a huge number of new listeners.

The soundtrack for The Hunger Games, released just days before the film, included songs from Arcade Fire, Taylor Swift, The Decemberists, Miranda Lambert, and Maroon 5. They were all original songs and were not included in the movie.

We presume the Catching Fire soundtrack will hit iTunes and store shelves a couple days before the film’s November 22 release.
