One of the bigger complaints about The Hunger Games movie was that director Gary Ross added lots of shaky cam.

There will be no more of that.

Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence says in a new interview conducted at San Diego Comic-Con that there won’t be shaky camera effects whatsoever in his sequel which hits theaters on November 22.

“I did something different,” when asked if he shot in a way similar to Ross. “That kind of style of camera work [the shaky cam] is not my thing. I like to be intimate with people but I also like to have a sense of place, so I shoot with different kinds of lenses and different lighting.”

Ross used shaky cam to cover up blood and gore which would’ve otherwise pushed The Hunger Games towards a R rating from the MPAA.

Continuing to explain differences between he and Ross, he added, “The look of the movie is very different than the first one. The costumes are a little different, the visual effects are different, and the set pieces, the action are all pretty spectacular.”

The same interviewer asked Lawrence what the percentage between arena VS victory tour will be like (editor’s note: She’s clearly a big fan!). While he wasn’t able to offer a percentage estimate, “I’d say there’s almost a hour of the arena,” he said. “There’s a big chunk of the victory tour in the beginning as well.”
