Pre-production is currently underway for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and new information about where exactly they’ll be filming crucial scenes has been revealed.

Well sourced news reporter Russ Bowen shared on Twitter that filming for the big arena scenes will be happening in Kauai, Hawaii, one of the state’s islands. Currently they plan to film in Kauai during the last three weeks of the production.

In addition, a Lionsgate photographer recently visited Henry River in North Carolina (where the Seam scenes were filmed), and shooting there is to take place in early fall.

Since March, rumors have stated that Catching Fire filming would take place in Hawaii to capture the new arena. This is the first time we’ve heard of a specific island, however. You can see some photos of Kauai below:
