The season premiere of Castle left viewers eagerly waiting for more clues to Castle’s two-month disappearance and they can hopefully get some answers in the upcoming Castle season 7, episode 2, “Montreal.”

Look for Castle to seemingly be adjusting to the new normal, but as we all know, Rick can’t let things go unanswered for long. Here’s hoping Beckett shows the same patience he did when she was going through her mother’s case. Elsewhere in the episode, the team tries to solve the case of a murdered toy store CEO.

The episode writing is by series creator Andrew Marlowe. It should be noted that despite stepping down this season from those duties, one can only have high hopes then for some answers to the newly introduced Castle mystery. The last episode Marlowe wrote was the season finale, “For Better or Worse.”

The official synopsis for Castle season 7, episode 2, “Montreal,” is:

“While the team investigates the murder of a toy company CEO, Castle uncovers a lead to his mysterious disappearance, launching him into a dangerous investigation of his own.”

The guest cast includes: Matt Letscher as Jenkins, Maya Stojan as Tory Ellis, Lilli Birdsell as Samantha Williger, Gina Ravera as Marsha Stoller, and Brian Tichnell as Matt Monroe.

As viewers may know, Matt Letscher, of previous Scandal bad guy Billy Chambers infamy, is back as the mysterious Jenkins. As of right now, Jenkins is our heroes’ only link to what happened to Castle during his two month disappearance. What new clues will his character bring to light?

Did you spot anything interesting in these new Castle photos? Castle seems to be acclimating back to normal life pretty easily, no?
