Read our Castle season 6, episode 15 recap and discuss Rick and Kate’s choice of song.

This week’s Castle opens with some paranormal activity as a girl is tossed around her room in front of her friends while they are talking on the phone.

Cut to Rick and Kate discussing the wedding. Rick wants to have a band, Kate wants a DJ, but the two realize that they don’t have a song. They are interrupted by the call about the murder.

Kate and Rick arrive at the scene to find the girl dead and see that she was thrown against the ceiling. Esposito interviews the family and they think Riley, her ex-boyfriend, could be strong enough to hurt her. The girl attended Rick’s alma mater and he tells Kate of a stunt they pulled his senior year. It involved a cow and the roof of the school.

Kate and Rick go to speak with Riley only to find out he was the one that broke up with Madison because she was acting weird and going out late at night. Kate then interviews the two girls from the cab, who start to act strangely and say they thought they would be next. The girls are clearly afraid of something, but won’t tell Kate. They tell her to talk to the principal.

Rick and Kate go to talk to the principal, who happens to be the same principal from Rick’s days at school. He is unimpressed by Rick because he was a troublemaker at school. He shows them a video of a girl in the lunch room who seems to be telekinetic and had an issue with the victim and her friends. Rick deems her a real life Carrie.

When Kate and Rick go to speak with Jordan, she is missing. Jordan is being raised by her aunt and the woman doesn’t know where she is either. Jordan was out past 11 on the night of the murder, leaving her a suspect. Ryan found a bunch of books and comics around Jordan’s room about telekinesis. Jordan’s aunt tells them about a boy named Lucas who is friends with Jordan.

Kate and Rick speak with Lucas, who doesn’t believe Jordan would harm anyone. He was not a fan of Madison’s because she was mean to people. Following a lead on Jordan’s whereabouts, Kate and Rick go to a clinic where a man is levitating himself.

The man levitating himself says he is a professor at MIT and can do things by using his mind. He says Jordan isn’t there, but she comes out and speaks to Kate. Jordan says she used to be invisible to Madison and her friends. Then she ran into Madison in the library and after that she started targeting Jordan. Jordan has an alibi, but she says she wished for Madison to be dead, so she thinks she responsible.

Ryan looked into Madison’s finances and discovers she has a private bank account and is buying all kinds of expensive items. Kate and Rick go to the library to see what Madison may have been doing there. Her library visits coincide with her late evenings out. Kate discovers German bearer bonds in a War and Peace novel. Madison was clearly up to something.

Rick and Kate are spending a quiet night at home discussing the case. Rick brings out a list of the 100 most romantic songs, trying to help them decide on their song. Kate admits she didn’t go to her prom because she was a rebel and went to a poetry slam instead. They still don’t decide on a song.

Ryan and Esposito discover Madison was involved in stealing from her wealthy peers. Each night she was out late corresponded to a night someone was robbed. Madison stole the bonds from Chen, a member of the triads, who her father represented in a criminal case.

Chen has disappeared. He sold his house and left the country. He was on a flight when Madison was murdered. The reason Chen fled was because there was a telekinetic event at his house. Rick insists that this is a paranormal event, but Kate insists there is a logical explanation.

Cerulean blue paint is found at Chen’s house, leading back to Lucas. Kate and Rick look for Lucas, assuming he is Madison’s accomplice. When they arrive at Lucas’ house, they can see objects flying around the room through the window. When they go in, Jordan is standing in the middle of the room with things flying around her. Lucas insists it is his fault.

Lucas tells Kate and Rick that he is smart and knows how to use special effects. Madison realized that he rigged the event in the cafeteria and blackmailed him in to helping her. The call showed at the beginning was actually a video that was made a week before. Madison and her friends were running their very own bling ring. When Madison wouldn’t let Kris out of the group, she decided to kill her.

The episode ends with Kate and Rick dancing at the Starry Night formal. As the song plays, they both say how much they like it. It seems Rick and Kate have finally found their song.
