Castle episode 4, “Murder, He Wrote,” just finished airing. This episode we get to see Castle and Beckett head to the Hamptons only to have a murder victim stumble into Castle’s swimming pool ruining their romantic weekend.

Castle can’t seem to let murder go and convinces Beckett they need to be involved in helping to solve it. Meanwhile back at the station Esposito and Ryan decide they need to know who Beckett is secretly dating, for her own safety of course. They get Castle involved in the guessing, with no knowledge that he is leading them astray. They also try to get Lanie involved in guessing but she refuses.

Castle and Beckett start to investigate the murder only to have difficulty with the local authorities who think Beckett is a prostitute. Eventually, they ask Castle and Beckett to help. The two begin to follow leads, one of which is a dangerous mobster who likes Castle’s writing.

Back in New York City Esposito and Ryan begin to help Castle with background information on his murder victim. They stumble upon a meth lab that the murder victim was running. While interrogating the murder victim’s partner Ryan discovers that Castle is Beckett’s secret boyfriend and in the end he keeps it to himself.

In the Hamptons, Castle and Beckett continue to help the investigation. The sheriff believes he has the right suspect until Castle notices the knots tying the boat to the deck. In the end, the deputy was the local drug dealer who took out the wealthy competition. Once the right murderer was behind bars Beckett and Castle finally got to have their romantic evening.
