Today Cassie announced that CCH Pounder as Madame Dorothea and Aidan Turner as Luke were added to the already amazing lineup of talent in The Mortal Instruments movie.

CCH Pounder has been on The Shield, The X-Files, Warehouse 13, ER and The West Wing. Madame Dorothea is Clary’s downstairs neighbor and a “witch” — the kind with crystal balls and Tarot cards. Her secret is that none of that magic is at all real: it’s a cover for the powerful position she actually does hold in the secret society of Downworlders.

Aidan Turner was most recently seen in Being Human and will soon be seen in The Hobbit. Aidan will be playing Luke, Clary’s surrogate father figure. He may appear to be a mild-mannered bookstore owner, but there is more to Luke than meets the eye.
