Cassandra Clare has released five screen caps from the upcoming theatrical trailer for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
The trailer will be released this weekend at WonderCon, where Clare as well as the movie’s stars Jamie Campbell Bower, Lily Collins, Kevin Zegers and director Harald Zwart will be on hand to discuss the upcoming film. Attendees will also be given an exclusive new poster for the film. Check out the screen caps below and tell us what you think!

I’ve gotten a chance to see the extended theatrical trailer premiering at Wondercon this Saturday, and while I wish I could sneak you a peek of the whole thing … Sony has super-kindly given their permission for me to share five screen-grabs with you. I loved the extended trailer — there’s some lovely funny bits and some great Simon and Alec stuff — and I hope you’ll love it too!
Each of the images above are from the theatrical trailer. The one of Lena Heady as Jocelyn is particularly interesting. According to Clare, it is meant to be an old photo of Clary’s mother.
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones hits theaters August 23.
