Star Wars Celebration’s kickoff event, celebrating 40 years of George Lucas’ creation, spent the back half saying farewell to Carrie Fisher.

And boy, what a farewell it was. Following touching live messages from George Lucas, producer Kathleen Kennedy, and Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd, a video tribute to Carrie Fisher honored the Leia actress using fantastic footage. Notably, it includes our first look at General Leia in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. She’s seen walking on set with Rian Johnson (above):

As if that weren’t enough, following the video, the curtains on stage pulled back to reveal John Williams and the Orlando Philharmonic! They performed Leia’s Theme and the full Star Wars title sequence. It all streamed live on YouTube and is now available to watch below. I highly recommend skipping to 1:47:30 — you’ll see the moment John Williams makes his surprise appearance following the Leia tribute:

Update: Here’s part of the presentation, sans Williams’ surprise ending. It’s too bad Lucasfilm have (temporarily?) taken the full show down, as there were some serious streaming issues that prevented everyone from watching.

Fisher completed filming on The Last Jedi before her death in December.

Earlier in the panel, attendees were treated to appearances from Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, and Peter Mayhew.
