Carly Rae Jepsen has released her first solo single since “Call Me Maybe” – a catchy pop song, evoking Madonna and the 80s, dubbed “This Kiss.”

The first new single since her summer duet with Owl City in “Good Time,” “This Kiss” is Jepsen’s third single from her upcoming second studio album, Kiss. The new single was produced by LMFAO’s Redfoo and Jepsen’s rumored boyfriend Matthew Koma, according to Billboard.

“This kiss is something I can’t resist./ Your lips are undeniable./ This kiss is something I can’t risk./ Your heart is unreliable./ Something so sentimental you make so detrimental./ I wish it didn’t feel like this./ ‘Cause I don’t want to miss this kiss,” Carly Rae sings in the song’s chorus. Listen to the track, now available on iTunes, below.

The song’s Madonna-esque sound makes sense, as the album was partly inspired by her.

“These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years,” Jepsen said in an August statement announcing the album release date. “I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be able to collaborate with some of my dream producers. It has been the most fulfilling experience. The record is pop. It’s inspired by Robyn, The Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor. I can’t wait to share it with everyone! Kiss.”

Jepsen will tour North America with Justin Bieber starting Sept. 29 in Glendale, Ariz. Her U.S. debut album, Kiss, is due Sept. 18 through Schoolboy Records/604 Records/Interscope. The 16-track album will include “Call Me Maybe,” “Good Time” and a duet with Justin Bieber in “Beautiful.”
