Carly Rae Jepsen is Broadway’s new Cinderella.

The singer of 2012’s smash hit “Call Me Maybe” will be taking over the title role in Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, which opened last spring and has been a big success ever since. It won a Tony Award for Best Costume Design this past June.

This will mark the end of Laura Osnes’s tenure as Cinderella. Osnes originated the role and received a Tony nomination for it. It was her second nomination, following her performance as Bonnie in Bonnie & Clyde. She has not announced what her next project will be.

The rest of the original cast will remain, with the exception of Harriet Harris as the stepmother. She will be replaced by Fran Drescher on the same day Jepsen will begin her tenure. The cast includes Victoria Clark, Ann Harada, and Santino Fontana (the voice of Hans in Frozen).

Jepsen will make her Broadway debut on Feburary 4. She posted on her Instagram that this is a “Dream come true.” Jepsen will play Cinderella for twelve weeks, and will depart at the end of April. Although Jepsen has never been on Broadway before, she did star in musicals like Annie and Grease in high school. This news comes after a quiet 2013 for the singer, who had just one charting single all year (“Tonight I’m Getting Over You,” which peaked at #90).

Thanks, EW.
