Marvel’s upcoming female-led super hero movie Captain Marvel will co-star Jude Law in the male role.

According to Variety, Jude Law will play the original Captain Marvel Doctor Walter Lawson, a.k.a. Mar-Vell, “a character [who’s] a mentor of sorts to Danvers as she tries to figure out her new powers.”

The film will star Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, with Ben Mendelsohn booked for the villain role (the leader of the Skrulls).

Law is having a hot year. He’s in the midst of filming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, in which he’ll be playing a young Dumbledore. Law is expected to have a role in the remaining three movies, and we got our first look at him as Albus last week.

If the first Captain Marvel is a success, more films could be on the horizon, meaning he’ll get to juggle two franchises!

Captain Marvel is currently scheduled for a March 8, 2019 release. It’ll be the studio’s first (and currently only) female-led super hero movie on the slate*, which is a weird thing to say now that WB and DC’s Wonder Woman is out.

*Ant-Man and the Wasp doesn’t count.
