Marvel’s superheroes are busy people. If the comics and films are any indication, there’s very little time for life outside of kicking ass.

But the question still lingers: Has super hero Steven Rogers/Captain America, arguably the hottest Avenger of them all, ever been laid?

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Evans says that Cap aspires to have a family but is simply too busy saving the world to make time for himself.

“[Family is] certainly what he wants, but Cap puts what he wants last,” he said to EW. “That’s his M.O. And I think for so long he just refuses to bleed on people. So it’s hard to explore a guy who doesn’t want to make waves with his own personal conflict. He’s always trying to help the greater good.”

So will we ever see Captain America work on himself? Evans thinks Captain America: Civil War, which begins filming very soon, will make room for some personal time. “That’s why it’s kind of exciting to look forward to Cap 3,” he said when asked if the desire to always help the greater good will ever change. “I think we really scratched the surface on something great and I think there’s just so much to explore. Not just with the evolution of myself and [Anthony] Mackie’s character, but the reconnection with Bucky, and ultimately a relationship with a woman.”

That’s when the topic of Captain America’s virginity came up. Evans was not directly asked but decided to answer it anyway. “A love interest?” EW asked. “It’s funny when you think about it — he’s probably a virgin,” Evans said with a laugh. “He’s probably a virgin! I don’t know when it would’ve happened.”

As Evans rightly points out, Captain America’s Scrawny Steven Rogers days weren’t the most pleasant in terms of the character’s physical appeal. It’s possible his less-than-great looks, coupled with his frame of mind in the 1920s, blocked him from getting some action.

Now though? As a perfect human? He could definitely get it. From who? Any one of our readers, for starters. It’s just that he’s too busy fighting people like Ultron.

Hopefully he’ll make some time for himself during the Captain America threequel when he has breaks in fighting Iron Man. Civil War hits theaters May 6, 2016.

Now it’s your turn to sound off…
