Two new Captain America: The Winter Soldier clips have been released and the studio reveals the film is on track for a massive opening weekend.

The first Captain America pulled in $65 million during its opening weekend back in 2011, but the sequel is tracking for a $90 million opening weekend. To put that in perspective, Thor: The Dark World came in at $85.7 million, so The Winter Soldier could end up being the 2nd highest grossing solo film that Marvel has released.

Captain America’s sequel has been getting impeccable reviews and currently holds a 92% on Rottentomatoes – where Thor’s sequel could only garner a 65%. No one is quite sure what’s causing the sequel to have so much steam behind it, but it looks like Marvel has a massive hit on their hands.

This may be why Captain America 3 has already been greenlit and directors Anthony and Joe Russo have already signed on to the direct the third film. We look forward to the fan response once the film hits U.S. theaters this Friday.

While we’ve seen half a dozen clips and TV spots for the film, the latest TV spot and clip have been released featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Watch the new footage below:

The second clip premiered during last night’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where Nick Fury guest starred. Watch the new clip below:

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will hit theaters April 4, 2014. The sequel stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, Frank Grillo and Samuel L. Jackson. Captain America 3 is rumored to be released May 6, 2016.
