Marvel has now confirmed that Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy are set for a 2014 release, while Thor: The Dark World is already filming in London.

During Marvel’s Comic-Con panel, it revealed that the new Thor film would be called, Thor: The Dark World and said that the Russo Brothers will direct Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which will hit theaters April 4, 2014. Marvel started the panel off by confirming that it already has four films in production. Iron Man 3, as we know, is already halfway
through its production, and next in line will be Thor: The Dark World, which is already filming in London with director Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones).

After Guardians of the Galaxy was confirmed, the specific characters were revealed with an image of Rocket Racoon and the rest of the Guardians including Drax, Starlord, Gamora, and Groot. As we mentioned a few weeks back, this has been the mystery Marvel film set for 2014.

Edgar Wright also made an appearance on stage with a copy of Marvel Premiere, explaining that he could use the Ant-Man heist plot as the basis for his version of the Ant-Man film. This should eliminate any doubt that this story will be made into a feature film. The rumored test footage was shown and it looks like the hero will wear the Irredeemable Ant-Man comic book costume. Apparently his face was covered in the test footage, so no clues as to who may be playing him, but the suit was black with red highlights like the in the previous comics.

The test footage showed Ant-Man near an air vent, growing rapidly and then attacking two guards. He then punches another guard in the face, breaking off a tooth before sliding down the guard’s tie. He returns to his normal size and leaves the scene.

So what do you think about the titles for the Thor and Captain America sequels? Still feeling like Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man can compete with the likes of Iron Man and The Avengers?
