A brief new interview with Ian McKellen, who plays Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, indicates that filming for the latter epic two-part story is coming to an end.

Stuff.co.nz reports:

McKellen expects shooting to be completed on The Hobbit by the end of next month. He says it’s likely he will return next year for a small amount of additional shooting for the second part The Hobbit: There and Back Again.

A slightly modified Hobbit trailer is now in theaters with Brave. It reportedly includes only a couple of new shots. When it’s brought online, we will of course bring it to you.

We first spotted word of a new trailer last week.
