If you don’t know what BT21 is, it’s the special characters from the brand LINE FRIENDS that was designed by the members of BTS themselves. Each character was designed by one of the band members and you can often see them wearing or carrying BT21 merchandise of their character.
TATA is V’s character, CHIMMY is Jimin’s character, KOYA is RM’s character, MANG is J-Hope character, RJ is Jin’s character, SHOOKY is Suga’s character, COOKY is Jungkook’s character, and VAN represents the ARMY.
There are lots of different BT21 products, from plushies to clothes and all sorts of items in between. There are even exclusive collaborations with other brands, including Hot Topic which always has lots of new items coming out.
BTS Fashion Dolls by Mattel
In 2019, Mattel created BTS fashion dolls with outfits inspired by ones the members actually wore! The Idol dolls came first with outfits inspired by their suits from the “IDOL” music video. More recently the Prestige dolls have been released with outfits inspired by the S version concept photos for the Love Yourself: Answer album.

Unraveling the Secret of BTS Phenomenon
The largest portion of this book is dedicated to the examination of sixteen albums that BTS has released. It was an unquestionable, obvious organization for me, albeit it may be demanding for the readers. To write this book, I replayed BTS’ entire discography ad nauseam, though I am already familiar with the songs from previous repeated listens. I re-analyzed all the tracks in all of their singles, albums, solo albums, and activities in their entirety from scratch. I replayed same songs too many times to the point of blanking out occasionally. To elaborate the meaning and the appeal of their songs in musical terms, and to formulate a guide for those who listen to their music for the first time, I kept repeating the songs to develop a new framework. As a result, this book became compilation of critiques, reviews, and liner notes. It is my answer to how BTS came to be the sensation they are to-day. You will not find it in a few sentences or an article, but throughout the analyses of all the songs, lyrics, and the steps of the journey that BTS has taken. As you read this book, I wish you will put on your favorite speakers or headsets and enjoy BTS’ music again as you recap their career from the beginning. No one deserves to die, to despair, to be suppressed, and be despised. On top of that, they were my friends. We might’ve had our flaws and scars and have been twisted up and distorted. We might’ve been nobodies. But we were alive. We had days to live, plans to follow, and dreams to fulfill.
At first, I didn’t think much of it. I thought it’d all depend on how much effort I put in after I figured out who I needed to save and from what. That was what I’d thought. I believed I could solve it all by persuading them and changing things. I was that simple and naïve. But it was no more than an attempt to save my own skin. After a series of trials and errors, I had a realization. It wasn’t so simple to save the others.
