Rejoice! We don’t have to refer to Bryan Singer’s mysterious new X-Men television series as an untitled project any longer.

The other X-Men series (you know, besides Legion) has been making headlines left and right lately thanks to all the amazing casting news. The last we heard, Jamie Chung was joining the project as Blink (real name Clarice Fong), whom we’ve previously seen in the cinematic universe (in X-Men: Days of Future Past).

Other actors who have joined the show include Amy Acker (Kate Stewart), Stephen Moyer (Reed), Emma Dumont (Lorna Dane/Polaris), Natalie Alyn Lind (Lauren), Coby Bell (Jace Turner), Sean Teale (Marcos Diaz/Eclipse), and Blair Redford (Sam).

The show is being written and executive produced by Matt Nix (Burn Notice). Singer will join him in an EP role and will also direct the series. Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, and Jim Chory are also on board, which marks a collaboration between Fox and Marvel.

It is from Donner (via Den of Geek) that we have finally learned the title for this series: Gifted.

In the photo you can see Acker, Chung, and others sitting around a table getting ready to read from their scripts.

It is a relief to finally have something to call this project, which is turning out to be quite the undertaking. I certainly hope the number of mutants is not a hindrance to the story and that we’ll be seeing another side to the X-Men universe once it finally premieres.

What do you think of ‘Gifted’ so far?
