Mars, who played host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live Oct. 20, has so far debuted two new songs off the album – the upbeat “Locked out of Heaven,” reminiscent of something out of the Police’s songbook and sitting at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100, and piano ballad “Young Girls” – both of which he performed live on SNL.

Unorthodox Jukebox is due Dec. 11 and follows Mars’ 2010 debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which produced hits in “Just the Way You Are,” “Grenade” and “The Lazy Song.” Doo-Wops went platinum, selling over 1 million copies and earning Mars several Grammy nominations.
