Bruno Mars covered two Little Mermaid songs and Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire” while promoting his upcoming sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox.

Visiting BBC Radio 1 “Live Lounge,” Mars kicked off his 20-minute set with “Silent Night,” before performing seven other songs, including “Locked Out of Heaven” and “Show Me” from his new album and “Grenade” and “Runaway Baby” from his debut, Doo-Wops and Hooligans.

But it was his “emotional” rendition of “Part of Your World,” with hilarious improv from Smeezington producer Phil Lawrence, that stole the show.

“There’s this one song I could never get through because I choke up,” Mars joked before singing the Disney classic. “It’s the best song ever written. I want to look fear in the eyes right now and then I want to kick it in the ding ding.”

So far, Mars has debuted four singles from his follow-up to 2010’s Doo-Wops and Hooligans – “Locked Out Of Heaven (No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100), “Moonshine,” “Young Girls” and “When I Was Your Man.”
