Artists Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, and Earth, Wind, and Fire all confirmed new albums this morning.

Rock and roll icon and generally-perfect-person Bruce Springsteen told Rolling Stone in a new interview released Monday that he and the E Street Band were in the studio while they toured Australia earlier this year. “I have stuff I’m working on that I’m very happy about. I hate to say, because I don’t like to be wrong,” he said. “But I have a lot of material. I still feel like I’m in the middle of the well.”

Sources who closely follow Springsteen and share information on Twitter indicate that his new album is in the hard rock genre which will be a first for the artist. He and the E Street Band’s 2012 – 2013 world tour is currently rolling through Europe.

Legendary artist Elton John announced his next album today titled The Diving Board. It will be his first solo album since his 2006 release The Captain and the Kid and appears to be a throwback to his earlier days. “What kind of music do I really want to make? I have to go back to go forward again,” he says in the trailer released this morning. “I am on the diving board.” Watch the trailer and see the album art below. The Diving Board drops in September:

Also releasing a new album this September is R&B group Earth, Wind, and Fire, who will release their first album in eight years titled “Now, Then & Forever.” The album was originally set to debut in 2012, but the band decided to hold off to spend more time perfecting it. “It’s a great representation of who Earth, Wind and Fire is now, but not departing from the classic sound.” said co-founding member Larry Dunn to Billboard.
