Britney Spears has announced that her eighth studio album is titled Britney Jean.

“It’s called Britney Jean,” she revealed amongst applause on U.K. radio Monday. “It’s a personal album, and all my family call me Britney Jean. It’s a term of endearment and I wanted to share that with my fans.”

In the same interview and video clip Spears confirms that there are “juicy” collaborations but stops short of revealing any of them, including whether or not Miley Cyrus is involved. Cyrus’s new album BANGERZ includes a track featuring Spears, so some are guessing that she returned the favor.

So far Spears has only released one song from the album titled “Work Bitch.” Watch the music video in our previous story. The track list for the December 3 album has yet to be revealed.

Spears has said repeatedly that this new album is one of her most personal, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it has a titled that matches that theme. It follows a recent trend in recent months where singers or bands use their name as the album. Recent examples include the self-titled Paramore and Avril Lavinge albums.

What do you think of Britney Spears’ eighth album title?

Spears will be hosting a show in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood for the next two years beginning this December. The desert residency will take place in lieu of a world tour.
