Pop superstar Britney Spears has announced she’ll be joining Jane the Virgin season 2 this fall.
The singer, who’s currently in the midst of a lengthy residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, took to Twitter on Tuesday to let her followers know about her Jane the Virgin guest role. She’ll be playing Rogelio’s “nemesis,” according to a follow-up statement from the network.

According to the tweet, Britney is a huge fan of Jane the Virgin, going so far as to call it a “#DreamComeTrue” and one of her “favorite shows EVER.”
Damn, Britney, why didn’t you say so sooner?!
Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez also tweeted her excitement for Britney’s appearance on the show:

Added executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman, “We are so thrilled that Rogelio’s ‘nemesis’ — Britney Spears — has agreed to appear on Jane The Virgin in episode 205. Personally, after hearing about their long standing fued (from Rogelio’s point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears’ side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney”
Jane the Virgin premiered to so-so ratings in its first season which wrapped earlier this year. As you can see from Jennie Snyder Urman’s statement, you’ll have to wait a few weeks into season 2 before you get to see Britney appear on The CW.
Jane the Virgin returns October 12, 2015. Expect to see Britney on your screen in November!
