Britney Spears was a recent guest on the BBC’s Radio 1 Breakfast Show and the pop superstar teamed up with host Nick Grimshaw to create a ridiculous and hilarious Halloween video.

On a recent promo trip to the U.K., Britney Spears showed off her goofy, fun-loving side as she visited the BBC for an appearance on Radio 1’s Breakfast show.

During her interview on October 16, which you can listen to here, she took part in a game that the Breakfast Show named “Britney Literally Spears,” in which fan questions were hidden inside balloons that the singer had to stab with a spear. But Britney also stuck around the BBC to work on a special Halloween surprise with the show’s host, Nick Grimshaw, who is one of Britain’s biggest media personalities.

The end result, launched yesterday, is a video entitled “It’s Britney, Witch!” Britney – using her best posh accent – recites the Vincent Price spoken word monologue from the beginning of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” while she and Grimshaw play with various spooky costumes and props, including – by use of very bad green screen – zooming around on broomsticks. The clip is purposely shambolic, fitting the style of the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, but Britney seems to be getting into the spirit of it!

Britney Spears was in the U.K. to promote her Las Vegas residency and her forthcoming album, Britney Jean. The release will be the eighth full-length record from the Princess of Pop. The album’s first single, “Work Bitch” was released in September, with the next track, “Perfume,” due out on November 5.

BBC’s Radio 1 has a history of creating ridiculous video content, either in collaboration with their pop star guests, or spoofing them. Recent example include Grimshaw and fellow DJ Greg James spoofing Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” Greg James acting out Miley Cyrus’s controversial “Wrecking Ball” video (yes, naked), and making One Direction act out fanfiction.

What do you think of Britney’s BBC Halloween surprise? Cute? We say cute.
