Brie Larson, a real-life superhero, is set to direct, produce, and star in a comedy called Unicorn Store.

Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson, who is set to conquer the world as Captain Marvel in 2019, is making a movie about a young woman who moves back in with her parents after her career plans fall apart. We hope the irony isn’t lost on her.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, noting that the indie comedy was originally set to be directed by Miguel Arteta (Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day), with Rebel Wilson in the lead role.

Brie Larson isn’t a total stranger to directing; in 2012 she co-directed the short film The Arm, which won the jury prize at Sundance.

Unicorn Store is based on an original screenplay by Samantha McIntyre, who previously served as executive story editor on the FX comedy Married with Judy Greer and Russ Bowman.

The movie follows Brie Larson’s character Kit, who moves back in with her parents. Writes THR, “She receives a mysterious invitation to a store that will test her idea of what it really means to grow up.” No other actors have yet been confirmed to co-star with Larson in what sounds like another great film for the #millennials.

Unicorn Store is set for 2017. It’ll be another two years before Brie Larson’s solo superhero film Captain Marvel debuts, but we’re expected to make the character’s acquaintance in Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1, which hits cinemas on May 4, 2018.
