Though not officially released yet, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’s DVD/Blu-ray box art and release date appear to have surfaced.

UPDATE: Read the official Breaking Dawn – Part 2 DVD/Blu-ray announcement!

The film will hit stores on Saturday, March 2 if leaked information is to be believed. Yet again Summit-Lionsgate is choosing to release a Twilight film’s DVD/Blu-ray on the weekend in hopes of stores hosting midnight release parties Friday evening into Saturday. Given this is the final big Twilight saga release, we can hopefully expect to see some big events to send out the series.

Earlier today Summit announced Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Extended Edition for a release also on March 2. The extended version of the film includes eight minutes of new footage – see a trailer here and read a message from director Bill Condon.

Special features for Breaking Dawn – Part 2‘s DVD/Blu-ray are not yet known. Apparent leaked box art for the Italian version is below. We’ll share the formal announcement when it becomes available.

To date, Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has grossed $289 million in the United States and $524 million internationally. It is the third most successful Twilight film domestically and the top performing of the five Saga stories worldwide.

While this is exciting, we hope to hear about a Twilight Saga Complete Box set now that all five films are in the can. We’d expect one to be released no later than the end of this year in time for the Holiday season.
