The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was able to nab the midnight box office record for the series, but it may not be able to beat Breaking Dawn – Part 1′s total weekend box office.

Deadline reports that the final film is projected to earn $135 million before the weekend is over, which is just under Breaking Dawn – Part 1′s $138 million. Worldwide, it should earn $275 million by Sunday.

Here’s how the weekend box office stacks up for each of the Twilight films:

Twilight: $69.6 million
New Moon: $142.8 million
Eclipse: $175.3 million (Wednesday – Sunday total)
Breaking Dawn – Part 1: $138.1 million
Breaking Dawn – Part 2: TBD

If enough fans see the film more than once this weekend, it’s possible that Part 2 will surpass Part 1.
